Local author Patricia Pearce has written a number of books on local villages. Each book contains interesting and amusing details of village life in the “olden” days. Original pictures of both people and buildings show how much or how little our village has changed.

Unfortunately some of the books are now out of print but who knows with sufficient demand perhaps there could be a reprint. Pat has kindly given permission for us to use her text on this web site.
