Who are ‘Friends of Shepton School – FOSS’?
All Parents, Teachers, Governors and helpers are Friends of Shepton Beauchamp Primary School (FOSS). They are represented by a small committee of parents who have volunteered their help.
Our current committee members are:
Chair – Rachel Theobald Treasurer – Emma Rees Secretaries – Kath Dwyer and Katherine Rance Publicity and Social Media – Charlie Pattisson
What does FOSS do? The committee has two main functions. Firstly, to raise funds for the benefit of the School and it’s pupils. This is achieved through regular term events and special fundraising events. Secondly, the committee provides practical and organisational support at the various school events, which come around as the school year progresses.
How do FOSS raise funds? Throughout the academic year FOSS organise a number of fundraisers which in 2015/16 included:
Rock 'n Roll Bingo Village Fun Run/10k refreshments Children’s Halloween Disco Firework Night toffee apples Christmas hamper raffle Family Easter Bingo Easter cake sale & tombola End of term cake sale Queen’s birthday quiz sheet, a shared fundraiser with Pre-school School Sports Day refreshments Summer Fete Book sales and Ice cream afternoons.
During the 2015/16 academic year we raised in excess of £2,000!
We are also registered with Easyfundraising, whereby we can raise funds whilst you shop, at no extra cost to yourself. To register simply, click on the link below, which will take you to our ‘cause’, register yourself and start shopping!
