Parish Plan – Housing & Employment Survey

Andrew Humphreys - Chairman - Shepton Beauchamp Parish Council
The Parish Council recently carried out a review of the Parish Plan and identified a number of areas where more up-to-date information is needed as it is now well over five years since the initial survey was carried out. I believe we have made good progress towards achieving some, but not yet all, the targets, goals and aspirations we set ourselves.

Our current Parish Plan was based on the opinions and needs of our community, when the survey was carried out. We need to ensure the plan is updated where required, to reflect the current needs and opinions of our community.

The enclosed questionnaire covers employment and housing only, rather than all the topics included in the original questionnaire. Depending on the success of this survey where necessary we may conduct further surveys on other specific topics, rather than waiting to repeat the full all embracing Parish Plan questionnaire.

This survey is for people who live or work in Shepton Beauchamp or would like to move to the village in the future. Further copies of this survey can be requested or download a PDF file or phoning 01458 257405 or emailing north.support@southsomerset.gov.uk.

On behalf of the Parish Council may I ask you to spend a few minutes filling in the form and returning it in the reply paid envelope provided. Even if you are content with everything as it now is, please still fill in the form, this will help us to validate our community’s statistical profile. Please note closing date is 28th November 2009.

Space is also provided on the form for any other comments you wish to make to either to the Parish Council or the District Council.

If you wish to speak to someone regarding this survey please contact 01460 240260 (someone is present during office hours with answer phone out of hours).
